How can students get into Math 30 Pure from Applied Math 20?
They can take Math 10/20 Pure Bridge first. This 5-credit course will provide the student with all of the mathematical skills in algebra, trigonometry and graphing that they would not have completed in Math 10 and 20 Applied. Therefore this allows them to get into Math 30 Pure. Math 10/20 Pure Bridge follows a curriculum prescribed by Alberta Learning. Most traditional schools in Alberta do not currently teach this course.
Note: In the past many students took Transitions 101, in lieu of Math 30 Pure. As of September 2003, this cost of this program will no longer be funded by Alberta Learning.
